when instructors get the pass plus package it also contains all the insurance companies that give a discount, ask him/her for the list. Pass plus is the best thing that ever happened, even without the discounts, it really makes you safe on the motorway, and for those who say it does not, well you may be just another statistic on the list of accidents when you venture onto the network. Go for the pass plus, and enjoy it. any further help with your driving must be a gain.

Ignore car-man-phil - he has just committed a criminal offence by inciting you to 'using deception to obtain a pecuniary advantage' AKA fronting.

with regards to the Pass Plus, some insurance companies will reduce your premium by up to 30% - your best bet is to contact an insurance broker to speak with a trained person and ask them what the difference would be in thequotes they can offer. Any broker worth their salt will provide these quotes free - and also answer any other questions you may have.

Its not worth doing it, by the time you've paid for the extra lessons you will end up paying more. The cheapest insurance for young people & new drivers is either Tesco or Direct line, neither of which ask whether you have a Pass Plus or not. Also, try and get a parent, friend or relative with more than 3 years NCB to become the main driver on the policy.

It all depends on the car you drive and your age and the insurance company.
But on average you should get around 30% off the normal rate.

My daughter was 20 when she took hers, so her insurance was quite high at the time anyway, but it was reduced by £150.

I was told around £30.00 you should look into whether it will be worth your while taking the test first.
