I was just watching "The Nanny," and at the end of the episode I was watching, Fran says something about hoping to have the dream about the unicorn. Knowing the show, I assume it's something sexual, but am in the dark as to what. Any ideas?

The joke is that you get to use your own imagination and think of your own joke.
Unicorns are supposed to be so pure and innocent that only a virgin maiden can approach one.
Fran may be commentiong about her own lack of such innocence if she fantacizes about Unicorns.
Or she may be turining the legend on its ear and making a comment about the phallic symbolism of the uniocorn's horn.
You ever heard the old joke about never playing leap frog with a unicorn??

Dreams are unique to the dreamer. This is why I resist interpreting the different parts of dreams as specific symbols. However, unicorns in this culture tend to symbolize romanticism, innocence and fantasy. To me it is not necessarily a sexual meaning, but a desire to enter a magical space. The fact that unicorns do not really exist suggests escape to a ideal place which is unreal. Maybe in the episode of the "Nanny" there is some unique meaning to her about unicorns?
