Why couldn't god take on faith that adam and eve would do what he asked? Why did he have to have proof of it when he refuses to give proof to us of his existence?

God demanded proof from adam and eve, they proved faulty. God can't prove himself to us when it would most assuredly gain him some followers.
We were made in his image, his image demanded proof, and we can't?

Primoa: Your image of god is that of an insufferable brat that has to have his way or he'll throw a tantrum.

It seems to me both man and god fail each other's test and are better off without each other.

misdreya: That is the point of my question, he asks faith of us yet he shows no faith in us.

The Lord walked with Adam and Eve. He was physically present with them. Therefore, your question presents a logical fallacy.

Got does not test us like He tested them because He doesn't physically walk with us.

This is a ridiculous question. We can't call God on not doing something for us, or not living up to our faithful expectations, for one simple reason;
We're not Gods.
Neither were Adam and Eve. It's called a hierarchy.
Also, if God had just "taken on faith" that Adam and Eve wouldn't eat the fruit of the knowledge tree, he would be turning a blind eye to them. That would have been disasterous in itself.
ALSO, this is supposing that the story of Adam and Eve happened exactly like the bible says, which I don't personally believe. I think the story is a just an interpretation of why we don't live in Gods' presence anymore.
And lastly, if he gave us definitive proof of his existence (ie. coming to earth himself and doing a press conference with FOX, which I think is the only way most people would truly believe) that would take the "faith" aspect out of the religion, which is the only truly pure part about it.

Of course god has faith in Us or he wouldn't have given us the freedom to Choose.

There is only one GOD
and here is the proof of his existence

There is only one God

Some one has asked this question,
"What are the proofs through which one can establish the existence of God?" 104

Humanity is divided into two classes: -- one is satisfied with the knowledge of divinity through its attributes and the other strives to understand the mysteries of divinity and be informed of the fundamental principles of divine philosophy. I will speak to you of the scientific proofs which establish the existence of God and I will not quote the scriptural proofs from the Old and New Testaments, or the Koran, with which you are more or less familiar.

Science teaches us that all forms of creation are the result of composition; for example, certain single atoms are brought together through the inherent law of affinity and the result is the human being. A number of primordial atoms have gone into the make-up of a plant, the result of which is this flower. Again, looking into the mineral kingdom, we observe that this law of attraction is working in the same manner. Many atoms go into the composition of a piece of stone which through purification may reach to the station of a mirror.

When the particles of a given composition are disintegrated, this may be called non-existence in that kingdom; but the original simple elements go back to their primary atoms and are ever existent. When the body of man becomes the subject of decomposition we call that death. That the existence of phenomena depends upon composition, and mortality upon decomposition, is a scientific fact and there is a great difference between facts sustained by science and theories 105 upheld by blind belief which is the result of traditional susceptibility of conscience.

Above i included the link to the oceans library download, its great and has the writting of most of the major religions and you can cross refrence things aswell.

You have proof...you just refuse to see it. Obviously He knew more than you do because the first couple screwed up. If they had not been given the option then someone somewhere would be screaming about Free Will!! Free Will!!! Indeed that was the issue that created the huge rebellion to begin with. So question God all you want...His motives, His methods, His thoughts...they aren't yours and you don't know the mind of God. He obviously has faith in some of us or we would have ALL been gone, yet instead, He gave His life so we could still be if we chose Him and each other over ourselves.

Satan = self (we choose our own selfish desires)

Jesus = God and fellow man. (We choose Gods will for our lives and love our neighbor as ourselves.)

Should God have to physically prove himself to everyone of the millions of people that live on the face of this earth? His proof is the bible, testimony from the people that he did walk with . . . . He gave us rules and doctrines to follow to be a good people. Mankind consistently goes against everything God stands for and is. And, then our excuse for doing wrong and not following these rules is to question. ' Why doesn't he prove he's real?' ' Why has he let the world turn out like this?' And, so on . . .

If I were God, I wouldn't prove it either. We act like a bunch of spoiled children willing to praise God when something goes right and quick to damn him when things are hard.

Exactly. If god exists, why can't he/she/it show himself? To say, "He doesn't have to, it's about faith." seems like such a cop-out. If god exists, it would make sense for him to make himself known to people and to talk to them so they know FOR SURE if he/she/it exists and what they should do about it, if anything (in the way of religion). That would prevent the religious wars, fighting, hatred, etc.

But nothing like that ever happens. So, for that reason alone, I can't really say that god exists.

hi, You based all your assumption on a pretend definition of religion. faith is in keeping with actuality : Jesus raised from the lifeless and we've the writings of witnesses. that is not any longer that there is a loss of data, yet your unwillingness to settle for them. >> additionally, as much as I rejoice with intuitive data or inductive good judgment, i think of that is unfair to assume >> people who're conditioned to a fabric actuality to settle for immaterial claims as actuality with out >> empirical, fabric data to assist those claims. ought to you supply me empirical, fabric data to assist THIS declare. So by your definition, you're unfair. Regards, Emmanuel
