Living water that Jesus spoke about is the Gift of God... and is not a reference to "sacrifice for sins." And besides, Jesus said "I will have mercy, not sacrifice." He was quoting from Hosea chapter 6 that condemns sacrifices.

Don't you think it's time to start thinking about the GIFT OF GOD that Jesus was actually talking about?

Background for this question: http://gospelenigma.com

P. S. The last time I brought up this subject there were one or two knowledgeable people who realized that this is about the Holy Spirit. That was a great start, but who wants to give me the rest of it? How is the Holy Spirit related to Living Water?

Or if you like, just answer the first question: Do you think the "Gift of God" is important?

There was a time I questioned the existence of GOD. It's been said that prayer is the last refuge of scoundrels. Well this scoundrel got his a@@ in a crack and had no other recourse. Sorry to disappoint the non-believers, If you have never had the occiasion to be touched by the HOLY SPIRIT, you truly have never lived. There is no other love, joy, or reward that comes anywhere close to what this feels like. This was not an imagined moment. And my life has been internally calm ever since. When JESUS left this world, HE stated that THE FATHER would send in HIS place the HOLY SPIRIT. As far as I'm concerned HE's kept HIS word. The WORD of GOD is still viable, even if the people who were chosen to bring it to the rest of us weren't contemporary (to us in the 21st century) when it was written. Just be the best YOU that you can. Show others kindness, compassion, understanding and you follow the footsteps of JESUS. Where's the downside of this?

The Gift of God is the Holy Mother. She was the first Human Vessel of the Holy Spirit. Born with the Holy Spirit because of God's grace. Although not eternal, She has merged with the Holy Spirit and is now inseparable from Him.

The Gift of God is eternal life by being baptized by the Holy Ghost, & before God would come down as our comforter to give us that Gift, There had to be a sacrifice once & for all & not once a year as in the law. & that sacrifice was Jesus Christ. In order for us to have that Gift of God we have to come through God's perfect sacrifice.

No. That's like asking me if I thought the "Gift of Tinkerbell" sounds important to me.

Sorry, but God is just a superstition.

BTW, Jesus didn't talk about anything that we know about. All the stuff attributed to Jesus was written decades after his death by people who didn't know him, if he existed at all.

If the gift has no monetary value or I can't eat it I'm really not interested.
