In paintings and in statues, Roman Catholics have usually portrayed saints and other holy people with halo over their heads.

According to the Holy Spirit we talk to when I asked Him about this last 2007 April, halo over their heads actually do not exist.

What do you think? Do these holy people really have halo?

To DuckPhup and Grotty Bodkin-Nolte - The experience of communicating with the Holy Spirit is not exclusive to me. Other people are also present in our sessions with Him which we record on audio tape. Please read what He said in http://www.geocities.com/peacecrusader888/ .

To poisonous_tree_frog – Trinity is one of the questions I raised. Please read His explanation in Peace045 and tell us what you think about it. I will be raising another question regarding how the Holy Spirit illustrated the oneness of the Father and Jesus. I hope you will give your view.

The answer to your question is no - the halos are put there to represent holiness.

In response to your talking to and being answered by the Holy Spirit - I'm speechless!

This is greatly misunderstood.

Almost all Holy people are considered that because they are more highly developed spiritually.

This attainment is charismatic, and can be seen as a glowing around the head.

Psychologically, is has to do with increased mental activity, and can be seen in some performing artists as well.

It is a real and observable phenomenon, and is represented in religious paintings by the Halo.

Of all the important questions you could have asked God, you asked if saints have halos? You could have asked "What is the meaning of life, the universe and everything?" You could have asked "Why do bad things happen to good people?" You could have asked "How can I serve you better?"
What if the voices you heard were actually the devil? Cause Lord knows if it was God really answering that question he would have giggled himself silly. You need a psychiatrist.

The Roman Catholic Church borrowed the Halo from the Chinese goddess Quan Yin. But then it is not surprising since the Roman Catholic Church has a history of taking things from pagan sources more than it does from the Bible.

The 'halo' is an artifact from the predecessor pagan religions from which the christ-cult myths were drawn, and amalgamated with Judaism. It represents the 'sun' (son) god.

Also... when you think you're talking to god (or the 'holy spirit')... that's 'prayer'. When you think you hear god (or the 'holy spirit') talking to you... that's 'schizophrenia'.

There aren't such things as holly people. Only God Almighty is holly, we are all just humans.
