I wonder how many times that same rhetoric has been copy and pasted from someone else's real respectful study of the testaments. Go read the Bible yourself and you will see that the very first contradiction is exactly why God didn't want people counted...but as usual even our screw ups get documented because God doesn't lie. Easy: because the Bible was written by inspired men, but men nonetheless.
It isn't the infallable science or history book the fundamentalists would like it to be. It is full of errors and self-contradictions.
It does hold God's truth, though. Just like us, God works through scripture even though it's imperfect. God's truth: if we love one another, we are in Him.

why are none of them doctrinal?
I would say a 1500 page book with consistant doctrines is a miracle. Wouldnt you?
Why do you think the text has to be perfect ot lead us to a Perfect God?

That's the way it is...when you come across an apparent "contradiction," you have to really look to see why it isn't. Don't get me wrong, a person isn't to make up stuff to explain why they aren't, the fact is, there are reasons that are not readily apparent that explains things.

Dude, you are obsessed and missing the whole point of Christianity.
Jesus summed it up nicely, Love God with all your heart and Love your fellow man as much as you love yourself.
The point of Christianity is to be so filled with love and compassion that you incapable of harming others and can only benefit humanity.
All the rest is stuff and nonesense.
