Most restaurants or coffee shops wont take you because your not legally allowed to be in the kitchen, or use machinery(such as dishwashers).

Your best bet is a shop, such as woolworths whsmiths, etc.

Hope that helps.

Yes,I was just going to say most places wont take people on until they're 16.
It did used to be 13.....
what about putting leaflets out and in shops for pet sitting/walking and babysitting...I know its crap but I dont think you'll get much better until you're 16 Im afraid

you could also ask at schools with younger kids to put up a flyer for babysitting-parents may see it when they go to school office etc-worth a try.

Hi,
My son is 16, and at college.
He works, to make a bit of cash, as a glass collector & table polisher at the local pub.
Also he puts in a saturday stacking shelves and doing odd jobs at the village shop.
OK, not high flying, but his academic life is fine and on course for big things.
I would just say that you are 16. No problems.

I had a wicked job when i was 15, i worked in a night club as a glass collector, it was crap hours but still i was well chuffed that i was in a night club man, the money was alright got free booze and food at the end of the night and got with a few girls whilst working. found loads of drugs and money on the floor, got the bouncers to chuck people out if they pissed me off and got them to beat the sh*it out of them if they really pissed me off! it was a good job to have when your 15, you'll have to go in the clubs and ask because there not really suppose to hire 15 year olds, i was jus lucky, either that or I'll pay you to do my laundry

When I was your age I used to work on market stalls, cafes and little shops.

You could ask your school careers guidance teacher.
Or visit your local careers office.
