A very insightful question that Yahoo-answers will be unable to accurately capture.
1.) God is not a genie in the lamp that grants wishes.
2.) God never promised that this life would be without pain and misery.
So the real question to ask is: What is the relationship you should have with God?
I'd recommend going to http://www.pcanet.org, find a church near you and ask their preacher man your questions.
The beginning of the answer shouldn't take more than 10-15 minutes, but will most likely leave you with a few more questions to be answered.
And God does indeed love you.

If you think having a relationship with God means you will never be lonely or never have pain or always have nothing but good friends and good times....
....well then, you need to think again.
God is not your Fairy Godmother; not some Genie-in-a-Bottle ready to grant your every wish.
God promised He will always be with you; He didn't promise life would always be fair or right or good or happy.
BUT He did promise you a world - an eternal paradise really - a world of no tears, no pain, no suffering; a world where everything will be made right.
The question is - do you take Him at His word? Do you trust Him?

All this talk about God testing you is BS! I used to believe in a God. According to the bible, God doesn't give you more than yo can handle. Again BS! Testing is one thing, but being totally ignored as you have been of your prayers just goes to show that there is NO God! Once you realize this, then you will realize that life just sucks sometimes. For some it sucks all the time unfortunately. Christian will say that God will answer prayers. But you are living proof that this is not true!

The greatest gift God has given us Is agency, Our ability to choose. Becuase of that bad things happen. People do stupid and hurtful things. Just know that god loves you and your never alone. A good referance is the Footprints in the sand poem..

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Psalms 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the LORD; exult before him! 5 Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. 6 God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.
Psalms 56:10 In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise, 11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?

God is imaginary, and there you have it.
Perhaps if you take responsibility for your own life, instead of waiting for some supernatural quick fix, you might find you have an actual life that is full filling and fun.

well you know, god never let you live alone..
he's always there beside you, maybe your faith wasn't enough.
and if god wasn't there for you, why are you still living? you wouldn't live for a day if he's not there for you. He's just giving you a test, to let him know if you trust him to control your life...
Read the bible and you'll find some answers there too.....

If you knew God, then you would know how hollow your question is. You have not, because you ask not.
