A subpoena is a order from the court for your appearance. Simply ignoring it will result the judge issuing an arrest warrant, charging you with Failure to Appear or Contempt of Court. Either charge carries hefty fines or jail time.
You should contact the prosecutor in the case. Tell him you do not wish to testify. He may decide to drop you off his witness list. Last thing he wants is a reluctant witness on the stand. That, of course, depends on how important your testimony is to the case. If he has to have you there, you had best be there. If he doesn't, he'll let you off the hook.

You are required to go, If you do not show up they will send police officers to come get you and then the judge will slap you with a hefty contempt of court fine and possibly some jail time of your own.

You better go, unless you plan on being a cellmate with the accused ! This is not a case of you simply dropping charges, you are being summoned by the state because it is not dropping charges.

If you receive a subpoena and fail to appear, the judge can, if he or she wants, issue a bench warrant for your arrest.
Best to go.
