I had a lengthy period of time off work when i had severe depression. When i finally got back to looking for work, i first went to an agency and just got some small short term temp jobs to see if i could cope with full time work again.

Once i knew i could cope, i applied for a regular job. I told the truth on my resume. I also highlighted the fact that i had successfully undertaken temporary work for a few months and that i was feeling very positive about the future and keen to get back to a working life. My enthusiasm helped definately! It depends what career you are trying to get back in to and what your disability is or was.... but this is how things worked out for me.

Best of luck

I had the same difficulty those days. while they ask you with regard to the hollow on your employment history, merely clarify the region as with merely slightly luck as you could. confirm to point how the studies that brought about the hollow and your journey throughout that era helped you to develop right into a greater proper person and how the studies might make you a greater proper worker. concentration on the strengths/positives and confirm which you do element out any volunteer paintings, etc. you have gotten accomplished throughout that element.

Just be truthful, and hope for the best. Lying and embellishing your resume will do you no good.
