Take it on a trailer/Low loader. Otherwise 3 different offences: No Tax, No Insurance, No MOT. When you get it home must be off road. When ready insure it, make appointment (important) for MOT Drive it to MOT and back. Then Tax it and you are legal at last. NOTE if it is not taxed by the seller make sure it has had a SORN declaration or you might be hit for any previous outstanding tax

Once I sold a car, it had no mot no tax, not sure if the guy was insured or what but he drove it away, I lock the garage get on my way and there he was, pulled by the police,I stopped and showed the docs proving the selling it to him and as soon as they made sure of that, they let him go with no probs.
So, now it has been a long time and am not entirely sure if things have changed but at least I am not throwing you off course like this lot are doing. As far as I know it CAN be done.
Basically get some proper advice, some policemen don't even know it themselves though, the proper place to look would the the Butterworth Police Law Book

you could get an recovery truck to deliver it

or you can get it insured and if the police stops you say you were driving to the local MOT test station road tax could be put on when the insurance is done

Best Suggestion:

Just wait until November.
If this means you will save money then its a good idea.

Also dont worry if you pass up an oppurtunity to buy a good car. There are PLENTY of fish in the sea.

Bye

You can arrange for all these things very quickly. Immediately, in the case of insurance & tax (insurance can be done online, tax disc at a Post Office). MOT may take a couple of days to arrange.

These essential safeguards are designed to protect you and others.

On the back of a car transit vehicle. If in UK you must not park it on the public highway. Sounds like a dodgy buy to me .

why not show a bit of common sense and wait until november if it,s not taxed tested or insured then it,s illegal to drive or keep unless you notify swansea also if it is not m.o.t,d then itis not roadworthy and if its,not roadworthy the people you kill could be mine don,t do it

sorry but the law is, you are able to drive a car for its mot, and then you have to insure it and tax it to drive it anywhere else
