Look i'm not trying to hate on mexicans, I'm simply curious because I see all sorts of Mexican pride and stuff... 1 more thing If they come here why can't they learn english? when i do construction work, i work with alot of mexicans... and i respect the ones that at least try to learn the official language of america... but for the majority of them... they dont even try... partially i think we are to blame for it. because every sign or instruction book also has spanish on it. Really spanish is not a language i want to learn, and i shouldnt have to in this country, but at the rate things r goin... im gunna have to.

Yes I have similar thoughts too.

If as people say all of these illegal immigrants are making our country so great, why are they unable to make their country good enough to make them want to stay there? and I know it is becuase their goverment is corupt. Well band together like they do for those immigration marches where they are trying to change our laws and goverment and do it in their own country.

The lanuage thing bothers me too. I am like you that I respect the ones who make an effort to learn. I am willing to work through the language gap if they try, but the ones who have been here for years and cant and wont speak a word of english need to go.

I moved to russia I learned russian prior to moving there. I struggled at times with it not as fluent as I thought i was. But beleive me when I say no one went out of their way to accomidate my english native language. I had to adapt and you know what becuase they didnt accomidate me I became fluent very fast.

We give them a crutch to stay spanish only by giving them the option.

Its just plain disrespectful to not attempt to learn the language of the country you go to.

ADDITION: anguaww I understand there is pverty there but you know what many of them pay as much and sometimes many more times the amount it would cost to legally immigrate here to guides that take them across the border. The amount they pay is much more than many americans could pay.

If mexico doesnt think illegal immigration is a bad thing how come they deported over 250,000 illegals from poorer countries last year alone. That is 10 to 12 busloads a day. they only legalized 15,000 immigrants last year. They deport their illegals without even a hearing and no legal recourse.

Mexico even though they think it is good for us to take their illegals Realizes that taking in illegals is a bad idea and that their country would be harmed by doing so. I also posted a link

Why wouldn't they be proud of there country just cause they're proud of it doesn't mean the government is fair to the people and help them earn a fair wage so they need to look for a better way to support there family. I also understand the question about why they don't try to learn the English language I'm American living In China due to my husbands work and my husband and I and two little boys are learning the Chinese language which is tuff but if we are going to live here this is what is needed.

Illegal mexicans in USA are proud because it is all they can have from their roots, the pride. Unfortunately, it is impossible to understand what hapens in Mexico to move ilegally to USA, the only way is living it.
The most (not all, perhaps) of mexicans leaving the country ilegally are the most poor and not educated of mexicans; they don't even know their history, many times they didn't go to school. They are not able to learn english (not all, but many of them). It is sad.
Then, when they get back, several years later, cann't re-adapt to mexican culture, they cann't find a job here, sometimes because what they use to do in USA is not needed in Mexico, they have many problems. They forget many spanish (you may find this unbeliveble, but it hapens), their spanish is bad.
They become neither mexicans nor americans. They are "pochos" or "chicanos", not mexicans. Neither Mexico is their country, nor USA.

Sorry, no matter how many questions or answers you have here, we need each other. We will be neighbors forever. As long as Mexico is a poor country, many (not all) mexicans will move to USA, no matter the walls. There will be always a way to walk to USA.

They are proud of how they steal from people and try and look like victims. Its tradition since stinko de mayo.millions of mexicans took 2 years to expell the french who wanted payment on a 10 million dollar loan which mexico did not pay.the mexican independence day also a joke.they support pancho villa.they think its cute and clever to suck freebies from anyone.this is why they are so proud of mexico. Now they want to rally behind a 2wice convicted illegal that has been deported 2xs plopped a baby out in u.s.and was arrested for fraud charges....gee we should let the poor felon stay...

Why so many people are so confused???????????

One thing is coming to the USA to get a job and another completely different is the National Pride.

Should the europeans who came to the USA by the 2nd World War feel embarrassed?

MEXICO is a great country, with a lot of history, culture, natural beauties, and is more older than the USA.

One thing is coming to the USA TO GET A JOB and another COMPLETELY DIFFERENT is the Mexican National Pride.

Unfortanly your question and many of the replies only shows the opositive that you are proclaiming about not hate to mexicans.

If a mexican is proud to be mexican and still enters the US legally, I don't have too much of an issue with him or her. (Just act respectful and polite when you are here please--don't disrespect us as Americans while you take advantage of our lifestyles and what our country has created.)

But if you are illegal and proud--go the heck back where you came from. Don't disrespect us and commit crimes against us and take advantage of us, that's three strikes, the baseball rule is in play here.

mexicans are proud of their heritage, just like the irish, italians, and all the other nationalities that have immigrated to this country. they come here because things are a lot harder in mexico, they come here for a better life, just like most of the other immigrants did in the past. as for learning the language most try, but english is a difficult language to learn and it is also very difficult for an adult to try to learn because they have a lot of other responsibilities as well. i do however think that if they want to live here they should learn the language but we have to give them time, even we did not learn the language overnight.

Because they believe that the Southern US is actually a part of Mexico. According to a Zogby poll, 58% of Mexicans think that the Southern US is actually part of Mexico http://www.zogby.com/soundbites/ReadClips.dbm?ID=4935 . Do a google search on Aztlan to learn about it. I'd put a link about it, but Y!A has so far blocked any links to informative websites (even websites for Mexican Aztlan periodicals and magazines.)

Many people from not only Mexico -- but from other countries in Central America -- come to the United States seeking a way to feed their families due to the extreme poverty in Central America. The poverty is endemic, and has tended to effect people of lower class, indigenous peoples, and those of lower education. I've attached a link from the World Bank talking only about the conditions of poverty in Mexico, although these conditions are common to many of the countries of Central America.
