Depends on time of year...
Aruba is normally outside of the hurricane belt, though they did catch the last one...
You'll most likely get more for your money in Aruba.
Otherwise, beaches are comparable...

I have been to both and if I was deciding I would pick Aruba. The Bahamas have great beaches and hotels. But they are just 30 minutes flight from the US mainland and also a popular stop for cruise ships. So the Bahamas in my opinion are more crowded.

Aruba is about 25 miles from the South American country of Venezuela and takes a 3 hour or more flight to get there. So fewer people go since it is further away and costs more to get there. But the beaches and hotels and amenities are great. Unlike the Bahamas you will not find real slum areas in Aruba. Aruba is a small arid island and does not have a lot to do other than beach activities. I loved the beaches in Aruba (been there twice) and it has all of the beach activities you want.

I just got back from Aruba a couple of weeks ago, and I love it there. Aruba, like any other place, has its issues, but for the most part, I certainly would choose there over the Bahamas. I've never been to the Bahamas, but it seems so commercial there, but I could be wrong.

The Bahamas is so American - if you are into America then Bahamas.

Aruba is old world romance in a new world setting. Simply seductive .... I say ... Aruba but at the end of the hurricane season which I believe is quite soon!!!!!!!!!

Good luck

i'm heading to Aruba myself in 3 weeks. I chosen it over Bahamas because of the fact I dont choose the hustle and bustle of all the little celebration infants working around and that i desire to have the skill to relax and not be bothered. It relies upon on what variety of crowd you desire to be around. Bahamas is extra a youthful celebration island the place aruba is extra grown united statesand comfortable

Aruba is far less commercialised than the Bahamas but it is entirely your choice as both are beautiful. Bahamas are more Americanised though.

aruba because a lot of people go to Bahamas and it would be something different than the norm and they speak dutch so you get some of the charm of the caribbean with some dutch in the mix.
