Are you asking, "Is it OK to remain silent and not talk to people?" Probably it is usually OK, but then that way you would not get to know people as well, or rather they would not get to know you. We all need some friends, so that is why we talk to other people, to find what interests, feelings and ideas we share. We need to get to know what other people are like and have them get to know all about us in order to be friends and work together well.
