I was told the above once, that the winners spraying the crowd is like them spraying the losers with their jism, anyone know if this is true?

It's a Freudian perception which applies to Champagne especially, owing to the geyser-like effect done by a shaken bottle of that beverage.

The same theory aplies to skyscrapers and similar pieces of architecture as well.

Although I appreciate some Freud's works and obesrvations which I find pertienent I don't buy this one, but anyone is free to.

I would think not because in team sports the athletes spray champagne on each other. It is nothing more than celebration. Not everything in life should be broken down into a Freudian symbol.

I often wondered why they did that. It always seemed like a waste of good champers to me. Of course, I doubt they use the really good stuff for that, but still, I wouldn't want to be all sticky from that. I can think of better things to be sticky from. ;o)
