If they are closer in size it's better than if they are far apart in size. The most important aspect in dog mating is actually the number of puppies in the litter. More puppies mean each is smaller. If a Mom is only carrying one baby, it will be much larger and harder to pass than if she is carrying six. That's why people have an x-ray around 7-8 weeks into the pregnancy to check the number of puppies.
But any two dogs can mate as long as they can reach each other to tie.

The question is not really can they breed, but more of how big will the pups be?
If they are too big in utero then there is the chance she will need a C-section or she and/or the pups could die in labor, of course that is IF they are to big. Each pregnancy is different so let a vet keep a check on her during prenancy

more than likely it would have to be by c-section due to the size difference. if this has happened please talk to your vetas soon as possible if this is a possibility of you thinking of doing I don't suggest it the pregnancy could kill boththe female and pups is teh min pin is the mom as the male is the one who usually determines the size of the pupsand teh pups will more likely be to big for her to deliver freely.
The last time I had a c-section done and that was 5 years ago cost $500 and I only had 1 pup.

yes, but they would be funny looking and little. and most likely they won't live long. i had a lasa that got with a chawawa and the pups were beautiful and tiny. but they didn't live longer than 3 months. i would call and ask your local animal hospital to make sure though. because i had a uncle that had a minature cow and it got pregnant by a black angus bull and the calf and cow both died. good luck and best wishes.

Dogs are like people in that you can mix all breeds. But its not always advisable because you may obtain unhealthy strains of problems in some cases. Like bad joints etc.

I sincerely hope you are not considering doing this. If it doesn't kill the poor minpin, it will cost tons of money for a c-section, and will result in very ugly mutt puppies that no one will want. Please have your dog fixed.

yes they can but if you haven't bred her yet then don't, there is no reason to breed any mix of dogs. shelters are overflowing now and puppies (dogs) are being put down everyday because there are not enough homes for them.
If you already have then for Pete sakes spay her afterwords.
It's the responsible thing to do!

No... Does it seem like it would work?? If you like the idea of an emergency c-section.. I guess it would work.. Would hate to see those ugly little puppies tho, what would you call them. Oh I know.. MUTTS.. Why would you purposely breed a litter of mutts.. The world is filled with mutts of all sizes shapes colours.. We do NOT need anymore mutts..

Why so it can possibly kill her ? She probably need a c-section. Please don't intentionally breed for mutt puppies. The shelters are full of them.
