right, i just found a little approx. 3 month old kitten.
i brought her to the vet to get her a vaccinated and she got a vet check. she is going to get sterilised in the next few days.
i unfortunately can't keep her at my house as my dogs just don't get along with her and she is getting a bit stressed out i think.
i have now decided to bring her to the stables where my horse lives and "make" her into a stable cat. she'll get lots of attention etc. i pay for her and she'll be my cat but the stable cat.
i have never owned a cat and don't want to make any big huge mistakes that will affect her.
what do i need to get?
is 3 months too young to leave her at the stables?
there is another 3 month old i found with her who i have as well. i was thinking to leave both there to keep eachother company.
what do i need?
thanks

The stable is a good idea. Make sure you give her de-worming and flea protection, ask the vet about it. At first, find a room in the stables (like where the foods or saddles are kept) where you will keep her inside, with her food and litterbox, and a big basket with a cushion or a carrier or a home that she can hide in, for at least a week, until she is familiar with the place so that she doesn't run away. Then let her explore a bit, under your supervision. She will soon learn the place. Keep feeding her in the room she knows.
3 months is not too young, but remember she will not be 3 months old when you get her there, if it is after the surgery, cause she needs to stay in until her stitches are removed and healed (2 weeks).I suggest you take her to the stables now, before the surgery, to get her used to the place before she is scared with the surgery and all, and spay her in 3 months, when she has made a real home at the stables. 6 months old is a good age to be spayed anyway, 3 months is rather young.

Keep them both. Make sure in the winter they have a warm place to stay. They should be fine if you are giving them vet care and plenty of interaction. Lots of kitties are stable cats and live wonderful lives. I'd watch out for predators. They can snatch up a kitty before you know it. At 3 months, if there are 2 of them they should be fine. If she was alone she might get lonely. I think it's great that you are taking them in.

i think you have found them a perfect home. its good that there is 2 of them so they will have a litter mate to grow up with. i would get food for them and try to feed them as close to the same time every day for a week or 2. that way they will learn to come every day so you can check on them and make sure they are ok health wise. you are doing a nice thing for these kittens.

you asked this question yesterday yeah?

I think that it is a good idea, if the kittens have company they will be fine, just get them fixed and feed them everyday.

If you are unsure ring the vet.
