1000!!! One thousand adoptees requested their original birth certificates in 3 years time. From 2004 when the law passed, until 2007 when Maine celebrated their victory for passing the uncondtional access to adoptees records, they also celebrated the 1000th original birth certificate requested by an adoptee in N.H.

Hard to say since most adoptees living in New Hampshire were actually born and adopted in Massachusetts which has not done so. Since it wasn't widely publicized, I'd say 100.

I tried to cheat and look up the answer. (I wasn’t going to answer this question, I just wanted to know.) However, I couldn’t find the info, even looking for it.

So I’m going to guess 7,000 and hope that Gersh will give us the correct answer.

I'll say 85% of adults adopted in NH.

However I don't have an actual number.

(Yay for NH!!!!!)

P.S. Is it widely known in NH?
