I always sound like I have a bit of a sore throat. But when I sing, it's not scratchy at all. Could it be from all the singing I have to do in rehearsal. Please, tell me ways I could get y voice back to normal!!!

I'm a pro singer. You always need to do proper warm before you start. Try humming tunes with varied key changes for around 15 minutes before starting.
Then you have to ensure you're breathing correctly.
Singing should be done at almost a similar ratio to speaking so you're not straining your vocal chords.
Have a small sip of water beween every couple of songs.
You may need to take just a couple of lessons to get the basics right first.

I think most of the time it's genetic.

If you sound alright when you sing, I guess it doesn't matter. Anyway it may sound sexy when you are speaking. Haha.

If you think you are getting the scratchy voice from singing too much, then you are not using the right techniques. Proper singing techniques won't affect your throat at all. Sing from your diaphragm and not exert your voice. Your voice will sound fuller and nicer too.

I'm not sure if they have this product outside asia, but it's really good for restoring the voice. I think it's from Hong Kong and is called "Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa".

My voice was cracked from a hangover and I had a singing competition that day! So I just kept swallowing from the bottle all day and my voice recovered by evening!

Otherwise, I guess honey and raw eggs may also work.

Well if you smoke, that will do it.

It could be from the singing, I am not a singer so I don't have an honest answer on that.

My uncle had a scratchy voice due to lung cancer.... that's actually how he found out he had lung cancer.
It wasn't really bad either, he just sounded like he had a cold and it just never went away so he went to the doctor, and they found it.

He's dead now. It only took 6 months to kill him...

You definitely could be damaging your voice if you are singing incorrectly. I recommend that you see a doctor. And get a voice teacher who can teach you how to sing without damaging your voice.
