god doesn't seem to have had the same smiting capabilities these last 2000 years or so.

Why judge God by what you would do if you were God? Hate to say it but your question is a perfect example of how arrogant mortals are. To mandate that god can only be "self-respecting" if he react with quintessentialy human flaws is illuminating don't you think. Perhaps the fact that he does not smite such as you suggest is the best evidence that he is, in fact, God.
Don't get me wrong, I think the eternal ruler of heaven and earth will some day exercise proper judgement agains those whose chutzpah has led them not to moments of blasphemy but to becoming beings characterized and defined by their blaspheming nature. Look around, we have an entire culture that is well on the way to such self-definition. But then again, God is eternally patient and grants us every opportunity to change... unlike you who would have smited the entire human race already.

God is loving and forgiving. He also knows the future and knows that you will grow up and get some sense. If you don't believe he exists, why even worry about what he's doing. I've been where you are and being on this side is a lot nicer. He filled up that angry void in my heart that made me so unhappy and rebellious. I'll be praying he doesn't run out of patience with you. Being smited doesn't sound like too much fun, does it? So what are you wanting? A bolt of lightening? Actually, lightening is the number one weather related cause of fatalities. They don't mention being smited but who knows?

You are of the world and such do as they are. There is no sin in your eyes and blaspheming is nothing more than just talking. You will have your laugh and the rewards of your evil deeds. And it is because people like You, God in his mercy offer grace and sent His only begotten son to die for your sins and people alike you. God is Love and He cannot hate. How long can You go on cursing and swearing? You cannot cheat your soul or spirit. They will turn against You, sooner or later.

Because he is forgiving and not petty like humans are.
He understands the reason you are acting this way. Understanding results in forgiveness.
If he really has to punish you, I think you will only find out after you die.
There are a whole lot of others like you. Maybe that's why the end of the world has to come. He has to cleanse earth of all dirt.

maybe because he's merciful and giving you a chance to see the error of your ways and repent.
If we were "smited" for everything we do, everyone on this earth would barely have lived.
Because we all do wrong but we all have to sit there and see the error of our ways and know that there's something better than following the wrong path.
But really.. the tongue is a sharp sword.. I'd be careful what I'd say if I were you... had to learn that one the hard way..

Have patience. Better yet, repent while you still have time.
2Pe 3:3 First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.
Mk 1:15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God is near. Repent and believe the good news!”

well...He will...but not when you expect or want...My husband got serious punishments....and still blashphemizes.....I think he will stop when God will take all his money from him...and He could do it..is on the way..because it looks that the money came to me..and there is nothing he can do..now..
you better try to ask forgiveness...because for some like you...we are all punished with so called natural disasters....but anyway..accordibg to the bible those who are not sinners ..could be out of the city when it happens..

Jesus says in parable of the wheat and tares that the owner doesn't want to damage the wheat.
Please don't blame God if something happens to you. You already asked for it...
You're fortunate because God is mercifull. He will patiently wait for you to repent...

Perhaps God will do things in His own time frame. John Lennon made crude remarks about the Beatles being more popular than Jesus Christ. There's a long list of people that have said insulting things to God, and bad things happened to them. God works in mysterious ways. He may be biding his time with you, I don't know. Just my opinion....and maybe, just maybe, He believes that you will come around and see the errors of your ways, and ask for forgiveness. God is long suffering, meaning he has a lot of patience for His children, even the ones that hurt Him terribly by what you have mentioned in your question.
