I just got them today. It started this morning and went away and now I have another one.

I have never had them before today! Could they be from not enough sleep?

Since Sunday I have been going to bed at like 1 or 2 and got up at 7 am.

But this mrning I woke up at 11 and went to bed at 2.

Everyone has their own triggers. It can be caffeine, lighting, eye strain, the weather etc. I had an issue with chocolate, light and taco seasoning. Track your behaviors to figure out your triggers. Whatever the cause, it constricts blood flow in your veins in your head. Perfume is another huge pain for me. Use a cool rag on your head or get a be kool strip. Take excedrine and hang in there! -s

From what I understand, migraines can be caused from a variety of factors including, stress, sinus issues, dehydration a lack of certain vitamins and minerals, allergies... etc.. I have had migraines once or twice a month my whole life, and have a feeling its hereditary, my mom gets 'em too. The best solution I've found it is to take Extra Strength Tylenol, or Excedrin Migraine (or your choice) and lay down in a dark room without any noise until you feel better. Sometimes I find it beneficial to put a cool wet washcloth on my forehead as well. I hope your migraines go away - but remember... a dependency on pain killers is unhealthy - the best way to deal with a migraine is to try and prevent it all together! When you get a migraine, think about everything you did that day. What did you eat ? Were you stressed out more than usual that day? Drink enough water? My brother gets headaches when he consumes dairy products, for example. Try and find a pattern from your previous migraines. Good luck!

They are caused by constriction of the blood vessels in your brain. The sudden constriction is what causes the intense pain. Some people have "auras" or other "ocular migraine" symptoms before the onset of a migraine. I've had them for about 4 or 5 years. They aren't fun, but I manage.
Gatorade helps, and so does going someplace cool and dark and quiet. An icepack on the back of your neck may help, as well. You may have to experiment with different medications until you find one that gives you any relief. Hang in there.

I get them allot since I injured my neck, I think that when my neck hurts it makes me tighten up. There are allot of triggers for migraines from stress to food allergies. Unless you are able to get a prescription medicine I would try Excedrin migraine, some say coffee helps- I believe it is the caffeine that is supposed to help. But don't drink too much maybe 1-2 cups. The thing that makes me feel best is to put a Ziploc bag in the freezer half way full of uncooked rice and after it cools cover it with a dry towel and place it over your eyes. The cool sensation with the light pressure of the rice helps me to feel a little better. Also try taking a B complex vitamin.

Stress, improper posture while computing. Example I need reading glasses otherwise I lean forward toward monitor causing neck/migraine pain.
There are long muscles that tense up in the neck that will cause pain.
A nerologist can provide a nerve block by jamming a needle into the back of the neck muscle.
The term myofacial pain is an interesting one.
Bruxism brought on by stress causes muscle pain in jaw.

i used to get them all the time my dr said they can be caused by dehydration so drink lots of water.

THE BRAIN ITSELF CANNOT FEEL PAIN, THE NERVES HOWEVER DO RELEASE SUBSTANCES WHICH CAUSE INFLAMMATION AND THIS IN TURN CAUSES THE SYMPTOMS AND THE PAIN.
