Now I stay up till 2Am because sub-consciencely I don't want to deal with it, or go to bed.

Any suggestions, any advice?

Have you ever seen the body size pillows? Buying one of those may help...What you need to do (easier said than done) is clear your head before you try and go to sleep...Your brain is working over time and you cant sleep...What you can do is start a journal, you dont have to keep the pages, just write everything in your brain down on paper, or heck type it in the computer...Getting the crude out of your head will ease you into lala land...So time to dejunk your brain and get a good night sleep...and buy the pillow....

I'm married and don't sleep. I was treated for insomnia for years but recently switched doctors and found out that I have sleep anxiety! Basically you can't sleep because you're mind is constantly reviewing all your decisions in life, your current problems, your future, etc. He's treated me with medication that basically relaxes your mind so you can sleep. I'd see a doctor, not because you need medication you may just need some counseling to get over this.

By trying to avoid it all you might just be prolonging any chance of recovery.

well try to do something creative before you go to work, or exercise a little bit, Meditation! it can be very relieving, when you are having problem like that. i have sleeping disorder too, i stay awake at night and feel sleepy around 5 or 6 in the morning. so i sleep 3/4 hrs everyday. try to read books at bedtime. books can help to, specially books that are hard to understand. and last, try to find a new partner.LIFE DOESN'T STOP! it goes on, so why you wanna get struck at a point. move on man.

I agree. I was with someone for 7 years and finally decided it was time for it to be over. I sleep with a body pillow next to me that helps. Its hard to sleep when you are used to someone being in the bed next to you.

I think you need to get over it and go out with some one else.

I think you should see a mental health professional, such as a counselor, to help you with this.

if you find someone else to like it helps the healing process. if you ignore the problem it won't go away
