The day after the incident Simpson brushed off the allegations saying "I'm O.J. Simpson. How am I going to think that I'm going to rob somebody and get away with it? Besides, I thought what happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas" Also, "I just wanted to get my stuff back". He later on added that "The police, since my trouble, have not worked out for me. When I call them, it just becomes a story about O.J." Simpson said when asked why he did not seek police help instead of acting on his own "I hope the police are trying to find out the truth rather than just building a case."

roflol! That's a good one. It's gonna be interesting to see how he tries to slip out of this one. At least there wasn't a low-speed car chase on all channels for hours.
