Are you sure it's a sore? A black or blue-black coloration on the tongue is perfectly normal for a number of breeds and/or mixes.

Are you sure it's a sore? Because alot of dogs get freckles and larger freckle like black, blackish blue marks on their tongues. it's nothing to worry about.

It could be a melanoma,a form of skin cancer that occurs in the mouth.You need to take the dog to the vet right away,because if that's what it is,he will need surgery to remove it before it spreads.

Bring the dog to the vet and have it checked out. Never heard of this.
