I would say Mother of God. She was chosen out of all the women in the world to carry the son of God, as the story goes, so, yeah, Mother.

Mary is rightly called "Blessed among all women" for her role in giving birth to our savior in his human vessel. She cannot be the mother of her own creator.Jesus was both God and Human. His blood was 100% divine.During conception the blood comes from the father and is never mixed with the mother.
How you phrase your question "was Mary just a womb"seems to reflect your own attitude rather than the way religion treats women. If you read up you'll find out how vital and important a role mary played in the development of Jesus' life.

Well if she was God's mother as well, wouldn't that mean that Mary had her own grandson? Or something like that? It's a shame that she isn't mentioned very much in the Bible considering she gave birth to one of the greatest spiritual leaders of all time. I wonder what her life must have been like raising Jesus Christ.
She's much more then just a vessel for God's use. She raised this boy and cared for him like any mother would. She must have been such a strong women to go through all she did.
I commend her.

Mother Mary is the Mother of God .She is the White Lily of the Trinity. She serves Jesus her Lord and Master,as she did during her earthly lifetime.
Mary was conceived WITHOUT ORIGINAL SIN.That is why she was chosen to be the Mother of God (Gods' Son Jesus IS God) Some of you can't even get that right. She saw her son crucified .
EDIT..Would some of you "Christians"do some research. You are making fools of yourselves spouting inaccuracies about Mary. You call yourselves "Christians" You are an embarrassment to the name. No wonder Atheists give you a bad time. They have more common sense than you have. You know nothing about God, Mary and the Saints.

Does this sound like a woman who is just a "womb?"
Luke 1:46-49 And Mary said, My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. For He looked on the humiliation of His slave woman. For, behold, from now on all generations shall count me blessed. For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name.
She consideres herself honored to be used by God in such a miraculous way. Only the Catholic Church gives her the permanent status of "mother of God" as if she had some divine property. This is a false teaching. I certainly wouldn't have any problem being used by God in such a mighty, miraculous way.

There is a middle answer.
Mary deserves respect because she was found faithful, and was favored by God.
However, none of what made Jesus God, or anything we remember Him and know Him for, can be contributed to Mary. His deity is from God and He is God. She cannot touch that divinity, or get any honor for that. And the title "mother of God" denotes and gives such honor, and that is blasphemous as God is a jealous God and does not share glory.
Deut 4:24: For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.
Deut 32:21: They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God; they have provoked me to anger with their vanities...

Mary is the Mother of God and Queen of Heaven.
If Jesus and the Father are one....if Jesus is the second person of the Holy Trinity and therfore is God....and Mary was His mother...she is Mother of God. God, the Son.
And she was not merely a vessel, but also the Ark of the New Covenant. As the first ark carried the word of God written in stone, Mary carried the Word of God made flesh.
And, News Flash....Catholics venerate Mary, they do not Worship her. Only God is Worshiped.

My favorite comment on this was made by Archie Bunker.
"Sure, Jesus was Jewish. But only on his mother's side!"
Early Christians disagreed on whether Jesus was a god, a man, or both. 'Both' won out. Jesus the god only had one parent, and as part of the trinity he is the same as the parent.
But Jesus the -man- owed as much of what he was to his mother as all of us do to our mothers. Presumably Mary fed him and diapered him as a baby, helped him learn to walk and talk, told him stories at bedtime, put band-aids on his skinned knees, all that stuff! Jesus obviously knew a lot about the Old Testament (hint: they didn't call it that then) and the mosaic law, you have to think his mom helped teach him that.
And Jesus' attitude about women marked him in his day as a radical feminist, and I'm sure that had to have -something- to do with his mom!

I think you hit the nail right on the head. The Judeo-Christian Bible is very male centric. Naturally, the savior of MANkind is the SON of God the FATHER, while HIS mother is a mere mortal human being who was raped by the Holy Ghost, whose gender would have to be MALE in order to impregnate a woman. But don't get me started on the Koran; it's far worse.
Personally, I would much prefer spending eternity with a GODDESS than with Jesus, another MAN.
