No god. But possibly humans or nature.

Here are the likely causes of human extinction in the near future:

1. War (nuclear)

2. Asteroid/Other natural phenomenon(I don't think the second as likely)

I say humans will likely destroy themselves over completely irrational issues. I hope that is not the case, and I want to work for a better world, but I can't underestimate the stupidity of man in the 20th century (50+ million dead from WW2, a stupid alliance set off European conflicts and trench warfare in WW1, the idiots!)

At Dan 2:44 it say's that "God will set up a kingdom or government as some translations put it, which will never be distroyed and that Kingdom will not be left to any other people," as we are acustom to today. It will break tp peaces all other man made Kingdoms on the earth. And Gods Kingdom will stand forever.

So will the world end? No not according to Gods will for the earth. What will end is the ungodly people who refuse to live under that Kindom arrangement controlled by Gods Son as King and ruler of that Kingdom. Luke 17:20. Rev 21:3,4

When the Bible talks about the end of the world it's not talking about the literal earth but the world of ungodly men. Todays society of the world wich is now ruled by Satan and his demons. John 12:31. John 16:11. 2Cor 4:4. 1 John 5:19 But will soon be ruled bt Gods Kingdom.
Thats why Jesus sais the modle prayer.
" Let your Kingdom come and let YOUR will be done -- On The Earth -- Just As It Is In Heaven. So very soon now we will begin to see a grear change here on the earth.

Just keep listening carfully to the world wide news and when you begin to hear that the world wide Governments begin to turn on all false religions threw out the earth, that will be the sign of the Great Tribulation of Jehovah God Almighty begining to take over earths affairs. Transforming the earth back to the paradise it was originally intended for.

For more information on this I would be happy to send you some.

Sincerely yours,
Fred M. Hunter

God, our Creater is the only one who is ultimately in control even though it look sas though we are destroying our planet, ourselves, etc.

Read Revelation (last book of the bible) chapter 21:verse 1 'there will be a new heaven and a new earth-Only God can do that and the purpose is to have a new setting for a purified race, an earth free from the scars of the rebellion that satan inspired. this is a need sensed throughout the New Testament

Unlike the Flood of Noah's time in the book of Genesis, a destruction and re-creation but this time the destruction is done by fire and not water. Fire cleanses -some countries set fires to renew growth of the land's grasses, grains, rid it of diseases, etc.

Man cannot destroy what it did not create. Read the Revelation of John the Baptist...it will clear things up.

EDIT: Allen T is right. Read the Revelation of John the Baptist or have a strong Christian explain it to you. The world, as we know it, ends during the tribulation. This earth is covered in the wrath of God (bloody battles, fires, meteor craters, poisoned waters, etc etc). The Earth is then burned with an intense heat to the foundation. Jesus and the believers come back to this Earth to set up his new Kingdom on this Earth. So...partially the World we know ends...but the actual Earth never does.

Man, we already brought about the end of the world.. we just have to wait for it to kick in.. The invention nuclear bomb is very dangerous and if Osama Bin Laden gets a hold of one I think doomsday won't be far behind.. These people are so commited to their cause they'll kill themselves without regard..

I also think global warming will kick in by 2050. All the polar bears will have died and Miami won't be around anymore since it's 27 ft. under sea level right now.

The third cause might just be because god will get sick and tired of us squabbling and start with a new slate, Back to the drawing board!

For gosh sake I do not understand why there is so much...so much unknowingness; I'm trying not to say ignorance...around here. It's grade school stuff nowadays; my 10-year-old grandson knows more about space and the universe than you chaps do. The human species will go the way of all species, become extinct. Millions of years later, our star, the sun, will run flat out of fuel and begin to turn very, very red and expand, expand, expand. It will swallow up most of the solar system in the doing. And then...more millions of years...the sun will explode. Boom. The rub is that even within our galaxy, the Milky Way, the event will scarcely be noticed...the galaxy, though a middle-size one among the billions of galaxis, is just too bloody large and our sun...not to mention this tiny rock we live on...isn't important. No primitive god, nothing that utterly...no, I promised myself I'd be polite. That's how it happens, folks.

God does not desire destruction.
Man does not desire destruction.

The Ignorance and Illusion that lies within man is weighing down the world. The world will remain but it is man that is the endangered species. Free will has caused man to set the scales out of balance. Free will without "Wisdom" to temper it could be within itself called a lethal weapon!

"Unity within the 'Brotherhood of Man' is that which can set the scales in balance."

First of all, God created humans, why would he want to kill them? Humans kill humans so maybe man would. BUT, if God controls the earth and makes man destroy man, would'nt that mean that God destroyed us anyway? and for those who refer to the bible, not all is real, you must understand, it was created even before people could talk, and over all these decades you don't think that no one has changed a verse, word, or sentance? If the bible is real, i want to read the one that says: MADE BY GOD.
