I am almost blind in my lazy eye and it crosses in. Is it possible to improve the vision in that eye with lasik. I was thinking I could do that after having surgery to straighten my eye.

My sister also has this problem and has been repeatedly told by doctors that there's nothing that can be done to improve the vision in her bad eye. That's because her brain was wired so that it has largely shut down the vision in that eye. It was a way to compensate for her crossed eyes. If her problem had been detected sooner, something probably could have been done but she was already over the age of seven by then. While there were attempts to improve the vision such as wearing eyepatches on her good eye to make the bad one work and having her wear glasses, nothing helped.

No, it cannot.

It could reduce or eliminate the refractive error in that eye, but that would not instantly improve the vision as a lazy eye has undeveloped processing of the visual image, almost certainly something that arose in conjunction with turn in the eye, to avoid constant double vision.

Most authorities state that eye exercises and patching beyond the age of 12 have little effect in improving the the vision in a lazy eye, but others claim success is possible in at least a proportion of individuals at any age. I'm somewhat sceptical, but since there is no real chance of harm, beyond cost considerations, it woudn't be a terrible thing for a determined individual to try.
Given what you've described, the odds of you developing binocular vision as an adult are, I'm afraid, low even if the vison in the poor eye can be improved.

LASIK is a substitute for glasses, if glasses don't improve the vision in the eye, LASIK won't either.
