My guess is that there was more plunder, murder and torture in the name of Christ than in the history of Pirating. What do you think?

i asked a question a few day's ago that, wouldnt this world be a lot more better if it followed the bible. to stone all criminal's that upset the community such as: rapist, murderers, molesters, pedafiles. i got some interesting feed back.

they said if we follow everything it said in the bible such as what was done in the old testament then our civilization would come to an end, well as far as crime and punishement goes.

just look at our history as far as religion goes, when we did follow what it said in the old testament. gruesome!

they swayed me. we cant follow everything in the bible it's too scary and wrong with using violence to solve violence?

but i still think that we punish all of the above said people in the way that which i said. but as far as most everything else on this topic no

so ya too much chaos then as oppose to the pirate era.

Arrrrrr... me suspects most pirates WERE God-fearing Christians if ye ask'd 'em. Shore it was ol' Black Bart Roberts 'at had Sunday services on 'is ship an' ne'er attacked on the Sabbath. How noble and pious!

It's the same thing only pirates are honest about their intentions.

I think if pirates were to proselytize they'd have far more converts than Christianity ever did. ;)
