I've used Proactiv for years!! Even a dermatologist I saw says it's the best on the market. I've even used it on my 15 year old son and he's doesn't mind. Part of his problem with his forehead though is he lets his bangs get long and when he sweats it builds up. So I would recommend keeping your bangs off your forehead for awhile also. You can put toothpaste on the bumps (not the gel type) it works good for those quick fixes.

Another home remedy for black heads is mixing a packet of yeast with enough tea tree oil to make a paste. Leave it on for a few hours. The yeast makes the dirt rise to the surface where the tea tree oil attacks it.

As far as tightening your pores the proactiv is good for that but you also have to be careful about trying to pop them!! They "explode" out and often makes the pore larger. Pores won't shrink much so try to just keep your face clean.

If you pay one dollar or one-hundred dollars on a cleanser that "shrinks" pores-it's only momentary, you can't change genetics...

As for blackheads...perhaps you should try BIORE strips for your nose and forehead...they work but are a bit expensive.

My husband likes Clinique for Men. It is found at major department stores in the cosmetic department. Just ask for the Clinique counter and someone will point you in the right direction. They will have a saleswoman that specializes in what you will need.
