Ok, there is still no terrorist attack in the U.S resulting in up to a million people like he said god told him there would be.\

Now , according to the bible "gods word doesn't return unto him void" so if it doesn't happen can't we right him off as a liar and a false prophet right?

or the alternative people stop believing in god

Just because it hasn't happened yet, doesn't mean it isn't going to happen... unless, of course, he set a date. In that case, if the date has come and gone with no fulfillment, then yes, he would be a false prophet.

If your talking about Pat Robertson I've never paid that much attention to him anyway though from what I found, he did predict a major terrorist attack "sometime after September 2007". ...but he isn't the only person I've heard about that's made a similar prediction.

If it doesn't happen then yes, I would call that a "false prophecy", I'd say "deceived" is better than "liar" though the latter is also possible. It is also possible, I suppose, that he was given that word not as a prophecy but so that he could share his concern with others and that through him, the attack could be prevented by someone in a position to do so (though I would tend to go with the first assumption).

That seems to be the problem. When these FAKES go around with their "prophesies" and they don't come true, it's not THEM people go after, it's GOD who gets the blame and that is what is idiotic. Pat Robertson is just a person much like his friend Jim Baker and the only thing that matters to these charlatans is MONEY. By instilling fear in people they "raise" their contributions in the neurotic public. GOVERNMENT should consider these kind of persons as CRIMINALS and prosecute them to the full extent of the law for FRAUD. If enough of these kind were sent to jail or prisons, you wouldn't have so many disappointed at GOD who actually has nothing to do with these money hungry bums......

Pat Robertson did say we were living in the End Times (the last 7 years before Armageddon and the return of Jesus) back in the 1970s.

Would "that guy" be Pat Robertson???
He's an idiot.
He said Orlando Florida should brace for a hurricane because Disney World chose to insure the homosexual partners of their employees and Disney World didn't kick the gays out of the park when they had a "Gay Day" (not endorsed by Disney).
Orlando is, like, at least 70 miles from any coastline.
He's an idiot.

God tells Pat Robertson a lot of weird ****. I think he likes jokes.

Either that or he is lying. Pat said April 29, 2007 would be the end of the world in one of his books too.

God's word won't return void.
Some guy on the 700 club is not God. He does not speak for God even if he claims he does.

The same guy tells people to say the sinners prayer to receive salvation. That is also not in the bible. Yet thanks to people like him many think it is and are deceived.

He could be lying, could be deceived, or could be delusional. Who knows?

Sorry, I missed the prophecy.
Did the prophet set a time & date?
If no time table is stated in the prophecy, then how can you discount his words?
See Deuteronomy for a test of false prophets.
