No, it's not correct but it isn't what the other answerer told you either.
The way to say "I hate school work" is "odio el trabajo escolar".

Literal would be "Odio el trabajo de (la) escuela".
If you mean work as "homework" it's then "tarea" and also the verb should be less strong as odio. I would suggest then
"Detesto las tareas de (la) escuela".
