No she is not criminally legally liable for his death. She is morally liable but she is also only 12 and the law and most religions realize that she does not have the mental reasoning to understand the consequences of her actions
An adult who influenced her to lie in order to cause the man trouble can be criminally liable and even easier can be civilly liable.
She needs a lot of psych help

Time to have this child checked for mental illness. The need for attention leads to some very weird statements that have dramatic effect on others lives.

I dont know about her being legally responsible. For the guy to commit suicide I would think that there has to be some guilt there. Now I assume that no really knows about it yet or something would have happened by now. I think that you need to be concerned with the fact that she did that. Something has to be wrong with her to want to go to that level to fins attention. I think that you should invest in some time with her and a therapist.

Don't know what your motives for asking the question are, but yes, false accusations happen all the time.

someone put that idea in her head. I am sure whoever it was, is an adult. This person is the one who should be made accountable.
