Has anybody here have been tasered, or even know someone that was tasered?

Lets see I have been tasered with the probes shot for the full 5 seconds. I have been drive stunned (like the guy in Florida that has brought up the recent talks), I have been OC sprayed, I have been thrown around using pretty much every handcuffing/ hands on technique. OC hurts for at least 15-30 minutes...I have been sore fr several hours after control tactics training. After being tazed I had the probes pulled out and felt no after affects...I have no idea why anyone would want any other for of force used...however, I do not know why people just do not comply...

I have , me ,and my friend were playing with them , and we tasered each other , at the same time , some agencies require Officers to be Certified with non lethal weapons , by having those weapons used on them , when I was in Corrections I was hit with the stun baton , which is a stun gun on a bat ....I was gassed with mixture of 1%CS(tear gas) and 1% OC (oleoresin capsicum). Not the cheap store bought stuff , this was the good stuff It immediately disables one or more assailants for 15-30 minutes. that stuff feel like someone throwing saw dust in your eyes , anyway we were at home playing with the spray , he said look here , I looked I got gassed , so I gassed him back , he tasered me , I tasered him back , we laid in the floor for a while laughing our @sses off ....while in pain ....

And yes, the kid on TV deserved it when the police says do it , it is best to obey your commands or get the non compliance policy delivered to that @ss

All Police Officers and Security Forces are suppose to be tasered to see how if feels before they use it on someone. It is part of training.

Same with Pepper spray and tear gas.

Tasers are not fun. but they don't hurt nearly as much as Meyer made it sound like.

I've been tasered 5 times. I'm a now retired but it was always in training. You need to know how it feels, how safe it is and how quickly you recover before you use it on someone.

I have not but watched one last 4th of July with the picnic in the park where we live at. It was horrifying looking!!!! I was almost glad I saw it with the girls in the group home I work in so these girls can get a reality check as to what life will look like to them if they made the personal choice not to follow the law after they left the home and grew up. Sometimes the girls make some horrible choices with drugs and things, its not a pretty sight to see someone who is getting tazered. I only hope it made an indelible impact on them for life!

OUR POLICE AND SHERIFFS HAD TO BE TASERED--TO BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND THE USE OF THE WEAPON YOU ARE GOING TO USE ON SOMEONE IT IS FELT THAT YOU SHOULD GO THROUGH THE SAME SO YOU KNOW WHAT THE CAPABILITIES OF THE STUN AND TASER GUNS ARE AND WHAT THAT PERSON YOU JUST STUNNED OR TASERED FEELS--REALITY THIS--THE SAME IS TRUE WITH MACE AND PEPPER SPRAYS HAD TO GO THROUGH IT FIRST BEFORE BEING ISSUED A CANNISTER-

Yes, I had to take one for training purposes. Not pleasant, but doesn't leave any lingering effects. Also have been pepper sprayed. That really sucks. Give me the voltage over spray or tear gas or a beating any day.

Almost every cop I know has been Tasered and pepper sprayed.
