I might be wrong on this...but isnt the Hidden Iman supposed to introduce Jesus to the world? In the Christian religion, the false prophet will introduce the antichrist (false Jesus) into the world.

Ya-know, I mean no disrespect , but people that give answers to questions should research the subject before committing themselves with some revolting answers.
I do not want to offend anyone, but this habit of throwing an answer in the mix without knowledge of the subject is getting a bit old!
The one that the people within the Islamic tradition call the Mahdi (PBUH) and Jesus (PBUH) will work together to destroy the dark one. In the end Jesus (PBUH) is the only one that can kill the Antichrist. The Mahdi (PBUH) and Jesus (PBUH) are both defenders of "The Light of God".
I hope I made that perfectly clear!
*Yes, the Mahdi will be giving a speech, and "The True Jesus" (PBUH) shall emerge from within the crowd, and the Mahdi (PBUH) shall indeed introduce Jesus (Isa) (PBUH), to the masses.

You have it reverse. The Hidden Iman is not the false prophet, he is the Anti-christ. They do not consider the Hidden Iman to be a prophet.
The Jesus of Islam is the false prophet, because the Muslims consider Jesus to be only a prophet not the Son of God.
Rev 13:11
Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon.
The above verse describes the false prophet. Jesus is know as the Lamb of God. The verse describes the false prophet as " like a lamb". The Jesus of Islam fits the description of the false prophet.

You've already asked this Q, so I will give you the same answer, If what you say is true and I have no way to refute it, perhaps it would be a good idea to read this letter to the Muslim Turkish invaders of Cyprus who, since 1974 have systematically raided and despoiled Christian churches in the North of the island. Not content with that, the treasures in the churches were shipped back to Turkey and the churches are now used to house cattle. The Muslims in this case seem to have forgotten their roots.

No! The Mahdi is not a prophet. The Anti-Christ, on the other hand, will declare himself a prophet. The Mahdi is not the Anti-Christ; as both are enemies of each other.

No don't believe so.
The mahdi isn't a prophet. And we muslims believe that christ will come again!!! So we are in the same line of thoughts.

I have heard this speculation before.
However I would point out that the Greek words for 'false prophet' simply mean 'forthteller of lies.' We know God's Word is TRUE. Whenever we speak out of our mouth words that disagree with the Word of God (words of doubt, unbelief, fear, despair, weakness, etc), what are we doing? WE ARE 'FORTHTELLING LIES!'
If we can get rid of the 'false prophet' who lives in our mouth, we need have no fear of any false prophet to come!

the Islam faith will have nothing to do with the
anti-christ as they have a religion. the anti-christ will
establish a New form of worship. themselves. he
will not pretend to be islam/jew/christian. he has already
been on the cover of " Newsweek" with some of his
staff ( no it is Not bush!).
the anti-christ will blow away All faiths. his will be an
entirely new thing.

Interesting theory. I suppose he could be if the anti christ turns out to be a muslim. I of course dont believe for a minute that he is buried in a well waiting for Amadinejad to start the apocolypse though. This muslim belief is like the one that satan lives in your nose and that muhammed's mole on his back proved he was a prophet!!!. Way out there!
