Should I believe that I can live forever by embracing a bunch of bonze age myths?
Or
That I have fairy wings and can fly around the lab?
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
And…
Will either belief have any bearing at all on reality?

Well, no.. my thoughts: You could just settle for some magic mushrooms on a family sized pizza... hold the olives.. those little wheels can look pretty menacing up close!

Both beliefs would have an impact. If you believe bronze age myths, you'll find many new friends who believe similarly, and your life will be opened to a new world of influences. If you believe that you have fairy wings, you'll most likely make wet, smacking sound as you hit the concrete.

Regardless of what you believe, reality and truth will be basically the same. Reality may change as your actions may affect it, but truth is still truth.

nope you should believe that by sheer coincedence, Out of no where, a big huge bang happened. From Pitch Black to BAM!!! WWWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
MILLIONS BEYOND TRILLIONS OF PLANETS and LIFE.
Then MILLIONS OF YEARS LATER, Little amazing cells with a life of its own formed an ANIMAL. That so happened to need the oxygen and all the little chemicals that so happened to on this planet, by sheer coincedence.
And then Millions of years later, They magically transformed into what they call "Humans" who can do what ever they want too do...
