Through Barnabas.
Peter was a little hesitant because of Paul's reputation and that he was not an eyewitness from the beginning, and the two argued over exactly how to bring the Gentiles to Christianity and what Jewish customs they should uphold, if any. But in the end they both ministered to Gentiles. James was a bit more conservative though, distrustful towards Paul, and very reluctant to let the Gentiles into the Christian faith.
Paul and Peter, it is said, were both executed in Rome in 67 AD.

Paul actually went to meet Peter after he had been preaching for a while. As to their relationship not much is mentioned. Although Paul did correct Peter once. Peter had been hanging out with the gentiles and then some Jews showed up. Peter started snubbing the gentiles. Paul basically called him a hypocrite.

Peter met Paul when they both met Mary, when introduced by Albert Grossman, who went on to manage the folk supergroup that bears their three names.
By 1963 they had recorded three albums. For many years after, the group was at the forefront of the civil rights movement and other causes promoting social justice. The trio broke up in 1970 to pursue solo careers, but found little of the success they had experienced as a group, although Paul Stookey's "The Wedding Song (There is Love)" (written for Peter Yarrow's marriage to Marybeth McCarthy, the niece of senator Eugene McCarthy) was a hit and has become a wedding standard since its 1971 release.
In 1978, they reunited for a concert to protest nuclear energy, and have recorded albums together and toured since. They currently play around 45 shows a year.
The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999.
Cheers :-)

Paul asked for a meeting to be arranged between the two. After they finally did meet face to face, they spent two solid weeks together so Paul could learn more about Christ from one who had been so close to him. Ater that, they really didn't spend very much time together but their brotherhood did grow strong.

At first the disciples were afraid of Paul since he was persecuting the Christians but Barnabas brought him to the disciples and assured them that indeed he was converted and had started preaching. (Acts 26:27)
