im 15 years old.and my dad HIT me (literally) for the first time.
i haven't talken to him in 7 months.nothing.nada.not a word.i don't even look at him.he hit me cuz i accidentally stepped on his feet with my heels on.(the heels were very long)
hes bribed me and everything so that i'll talk to him
but i won't talk to him cuz im a stubborn person
do u think i should start tlaking to him again?
if so why?

Why did he hit you for? You should just let it go if he isnt mad... he is your father... =/ your decision

Did he apologize for hitting you? Did you apologize for stepping on his feet with your heels? I assume you didn't do it on purpose.
If I were your dad, I would probably have said afterward, "I'm sorry I hit you. It was so painful when you stepped on me that way, that I just reacted. I realize it was an accident."
If I were you, I probably would have said, "I'm sorry I hurt you. I didn't mean to. But I don't think you needed to hit me."
Maybe you could start some dialog on the matter. I know he has done a lot for you in your life too; try to see things in perspective.

I would imagine if someone steps on your foot with heels, it might be an involuntary reaction to hit. If that's it, I think you are over-reacting (especially if he apologized). If he punched you, he doesn't deserve the conversation with you. That is something that should never, ever happen under any circumstances.

I know you don't want to, but you have to talk to him. Tell him that he upset you. Tell him why you are upset. It's going to be difficult, but it'll make you feel better. If you weren't bothered so much by not talking to him, you wouldn't have posted this question.
