To be able to expand my horizons.
Experience new places and cultures (learn a new language, taste new dishes, etc).
Share my ideas and knowledge with others.

Of course, earn better and live in a country that has a growing economy and hopefully make it to the top (corporate ladder).

I live abroad but never really want to work over here.
The wages aren't that great and almost everyone you work with as an advantage over you of speaking 2,3 even 4 different languages. Why drive yourself crazy?
My husband was sort of thinking of going to Holland to work, but they wouldn't be paying as much as in the US for his skill and it is hard enough to be in a new place.
perhapes we are more comfortable in our own comfort zone, the U S is the only place I plan on working in.I have paid into the system long enough over there not to try to enjoy some of the benifits.
I guess if you are young that may be a different story.A cruise ship may be a fun job for a short time. You can go to different countries and your "home" is always waiting for you.You can save your wages since they give you room and board.
I was trying to get my son to try that, he is a casino dealer and supervisior so I am sure he would have a good time.
