Lucretium, Lucretiae patrem, collegam sibi fecit; qui *** morbo exstinctus esset, Horatium Pluvillum sibi collegam sumpsit. Ita primus annus quinque colsules habuit.

Here's what i have:
The Roman's nevertheless withdrew from this fight as victors. The Roman women grieved every year for Brutus, as if he were a common father (senator?). Valerius Publicola Sperius Lucritium, a senator (father?) of Lucretia, made his colleague; who, when killed by disease, named Hortius Pluvillus his colleague. Thus the first year had 5 consuls.

Please correct my translation, i know i made several errors

Roman women (should be matronae not matronai) mourned one year for Britum, as if he were a common father.
Valerius Publicola Sperius Lucretium, the father of Lucretia (it can't be patrem,must be pater), designated himself as his (of Britum) colleague; the same (Valerius .....), having been killed by (means of) an illness, selected by himself Horatium Puvillium as his colleague. Thus the first year had five consuls.


I've done my best but I'm not English mother tongue (I'm Italian) and something could be wrong with English grammar. However I guess you can correct it.

i didn't look at it fully, but it looks pretty good. usually people don't get the words for the cases but your doing pretty well. keep up the work
