Would they be any better in a dogfight, since they are so good at stunt flying?

They are be the best in the world.
And if you've ever been on the 520 bridge during a show, you know exactly what I mean.

I am not sure about the T-Birds or Blue Angels having to have combat tours but the answer to the dogfight part Both teams fly their birds the way that all that fly the aircraft are trained that way. The Moves that they make are moves that they use in real combat. Not to down you Darth but they are not stunt-flyer's; THEY ARE REAL they are just showing us what the pilots and the aircraft that they fly can do.

I don't know. they're chosen because they're the best pilots in the first place, so maybe they get a little better with their stunts.
