I went to Pigeon Forge TN. It was beautiful down there. We went to two shows while we were there and went go-cart riding and got old-timie pictures done. The only thing I would have changed is the hotel. They were remoldeling but that didn't matter too much.
We only stayed a couple of days but took off the whold week so it was nice because we came home and was able to unwrap presents do thank you notes and put the gifts away before going back to work. I couldn't have imagined doing all of that after we got back to work. It would have taken a long time because it was exhausting of course we have a 250 guest wedding. That is a big wedding! Anyways, i would recommend someplace that is quiet (depending on the two of you) but someplace that has activites to do if you choose to leave the room! We didn't stay indoors much because we figured we spent the money to go on vacation we might as well have fun!! But, my brother went to the same area and got a cabin and said it was very nice and out of the way to spend quiet time together (especially since they had a little one at home they needed time together!)

I hope everything goes well with your wedding and your honeymoon. Choose someplace that suits your personality!!

my hubby's family all got together and bought us a week in the Sinai region of Egypt, right on the coast of the red sea, it was incredible, there were only 2 other couples staying and we never saw them apart from at dinner time so it was like staying in a private resort, we were well looked after! The only thing I would change is that if we had known they were going to get us a honeymoon as a gift we would have paid ourselves to stay an extra week, one week was lovely, but 2 would have been even better!

Nothing- I was a travel agent at the time - and we went to Maui. It was wonderful and if we didn't get some really dirt cheap rates at some high end places - we would have probably gone somewhere close to home! I wouldn't have changed a thing -
Some things to consider: budget, time of year -climate and doing things together that you both like to do! Do you like relaxing on the beach together or more active type sightseeing type activities?
What ever you agree to do- you'll have a great time! Enjoy and good luck!

I'm going to be spending my honeymoon in Disney World in October. I wouldn't change a thing yet.

Haven't gone just yet...4 more weeks. At first I wanted to do a European tour.... Hit Paris, Spain, Austria and Czech Republic. But, my fiance begged me for the beach vacation. He didn't want to run around and do the tourist thing, he just wanted to chill on the beach. So we decided to go to the Dominican Republic and I am sooooo glad! After all of this wedding planning and chaos all I want to do is park myself on a beach towel with a fruity drink in my hand! I can't wait!!!

Went to Daytona Beach (way back before it got yucky from all the Spring Breakers). We stayed at a relative's condo (no rent and they weren't there) but it wasn't on the beach. In hindsight, I would rather have spent the money and stayed at a place on the beach.

I didnt have one... hoping to have one when my husband gets home though. I dont really think honeymoons are all that important... but some people must have them.
