So many taser deaths on unarmed people for our "safety." How did law enforcement ever restrain people without tasers?

I think you have bad cops that are not able to use tasers responsibly. The use of tasers is becoming a convenience tool and this is not the way it was intended. It is supposed to be used instead of guns, not like either guns or batons. Some of the persons answering this Q are cops and they shouldn't be. They are bad cops or they are burned out and should move on to some other kind of job. To like the application of violent measures like tasers is a sign of sickness --like psychiatrists beating up psychotics bec they are delusional, they the sick cops, need help.

"So many taser deaths blah blah."; never anyone who wasn't hopped up on coke or PCP. Taser has never been succesfully sued cos they don't cause death.
Before tasers, you would get kicked, punched, whacked with a whacking stick (baton) and indeed shot until you stopped resisting. This would take a lot longer, and cause more injuries than a quick jolt of electricity. I have no problem going back to that, but I suspect you would.

How many people have died from a Taser? I bet a lot less than under a billy club.

How did "non-lethal" and "excessive force" get into the same sentence? In the past they used billy clubs and guns. Neither was as effective or had non lasting effects. I think you are a flaming troll since you try to mix fiction with fact.
