Okay, so I have this cat shes a full blood persian and shes kinda slow.

She keeps crapping and peeing by the back door, shes like 1 or 2 years old. The litter box is clean, theres no reason for her to do it. Sometimes she'll go into the bathroom and do it there.

We keep trying to show her its bad but she's just not getting it.

can anyone help?

Maybe she wants out but no one is opening the door for her?
I used to have a Siamese/Persian and she definitely had a mind of her own. This behavior that you describe sounds just like something Snowball would have done.

In a case like this, it's best to start the litter training all over again. Put her in an uncarpeted area that can be closed off from the rest of the house. (Like a laundry room, or a utility room. etc.) Put her litter box in the same area. Scoop her litter more often than you usually do. This will tell you if it has something to do with the cleaning of her box. Some cats are much more finicky about this than others, and will stop using a litter box that is not clean enough for their taste. Keep her separated for a couple of days until you are sure that she is using her litter box again. Cats prefer to use a litter box, but they will use the carpet if they are not happy with their box for some reason. Buy some of the enzyme cleaner that is sold at the pet store to remove the odor of the spot she was using, then leave a laundry basket turned upside down over the spot for a few days, so that she cannot get to it. Good luck with this. You might try changing the brand of litter you are using. I use Fresh Step with the charcoal in it, and the litter box never, ever smells bad.

She's not being a jerk, she's got a problem.

Are the sides of the litter box too tall for her? Some cats have trouble going over things, and long furred cats feel like the can catch the fur sometimes so they don't want to do it.

You can try laying out newspaper where the box is, but putting 4 cups of litter in the center and put the box out of sight somewhere, see if that's more of an incentive for her to go use the litter. If it is, then the sides were the problem. You can get around that by finding a cookie sheet at some rummage sale, or using a top from one of those sweater boxes you can buy, and have that be the 'box' for her.

If she's presently doing her business by the door, there's a chance she was once an outdoor cat. If you want to keep her indoors, soak up the pee with a small piece of newspaper and place it in the litter box. Pick up the poop with a tissue and drop that in the litter box too. Both can be slightly covered with litter if you like. Afterwards, take kitty over and place her in the litter box, hold her there gently long enough for her to sniff around a bit. Do it often. Eventually, with persistance ... and luck ... she'll get the idea.

Enclose her in one room, with access to the litter box. Whenever she has an ''accident'', put it into the litter box, and cover it. Less area she has to roam, the more likely she'll use the litter box. Slowly increase her roaming area, as she begins to be consistent about using the litter box.

P.S. You may want to get a vet to evaluate her, just to rule out health concerns that may be the cause of the 'behavior'.

Has she been checked for a uninary tract infection because often cats stop using the litter box and going potty around the house when they have a uninary tract infection/bladder infection.

maybe she doesn't like the litter you're using? Try use just normal clay or clumping litter. Cats like to be able to bury their waste.....
good luck with kitty!!! that can be annoying!

just shoot her, lol!!
Is there some special reason why she does her business at the back door? Try putting the litter pan nearby.
