The most rewarding part of my day today was waking up knowing that my nephew who was placed in my care yesterday would be well fed and bathed daily. His mother refused to even have him live with her (what kind of sister is this????) and my mother and I have been so worried about him since he was born 2 years ago. He was neglected and abused. My son is 1 1/2 years old. His height is above average and his weight is normal. My nephew can fit into his clothing, and it will be loose on him. He also is in special classes due to being underdeveloped.

Two days with me so far and the bumps, scratches, and bruises have already started to clear up. He is eating a lot more than my own two kids. The sad thing is he is afraid to ask for food and when asked, he simply stares. But I've learned to differentiate between the "yes" stare and the "please don't" stare. InshaAllah I can fatten the little guy up and get him on track enough so that he no longer needs classes.

My wife always sleeps 'til noon, and the most rewarding part of the day for me was climbing in beside her at 11 for an early afternoon's nap. Waking up together was even better.

During my commute to office today, I passed a dilapidated street with quite a big number of poor and homeless people.

Just made me realize how lucky I am to have good health, enough money, happiness, contentment, a loving family and caring friends. And all this credit goes to God, and I can't be any more grateful.

I finally got a letter from my boyfriend, who just left on an LDS mission. When I was done, I felt closer to him, and more spiritual as well.
