Historians are the same kind of man as you are. They have only wider intelligence than others but not as powerful as God. Not all Historians have correct comments on something. Their comments came from their own thinking and imagination.

Historian are human also, they do make mistake and it also in the eye of beholder.Sometime historian belongs to neutral party and sometime they side with opposition, sometime they are in together with the party mentioned.Like a reporter, one is republican and another reporter is democrat.Sometime you get the truth but sometime you get a story with a twist, he he he..twist of lemon to make the story more edible by reader or listener. For example ;previously Jesus is described as a Messiah or Messenger, later overtime passed by Jesus is described as God only son,now recently the follower says that Jesus is actually reincarnation of the real God ,in human form.I think that is the best story about Jesus is God and I don't think the story could get any better.Unless they heard somebody higher ranking than God. I will not be surprise, one day in the future, Jesus is told to be reincarnation of Rama, shiva, vishnu or buddha, just to get attention from other religion, come join the party?

the views of the person.

In the gospels, Matthew was a tax collector, Luke was a physician. They won't have the same view since they were trained for different jobs. Different ways of seeing the same picture.

One reason is that they're perceiving it from different angles (a Rashomon thing). Another is that no one can completely put aside they're past experiences and biases when analyzing a relatively complicated event.

Everyone tells the same story a little bit different....unless they're the government and they make up a story to cover up for the truth...then it's all the same.
