Sorry, but men in general have a very difficult time reading the signals. Let's dig a little deeper into this, shall we?

Guys prefer verbal language. Tell me what you want to do. Tell me how you feel. Why can't you be logical about this?

Women are more emotional. They think us guys share their feelings about everything. Well, we don't. Half the time we just don't understand what you're getting at.

So naturally, we worry about rejection. We're usually flying blind.

Fortunately, as guys get older, we start to become more aware of body language and can read women better. Still I think it would be so much easier if women were required to carry signs that they could flash to us saying "Yes, you are cute. Please talk to me" or "Yes, I'm just flirting, but don't read too much into it" or "Are you out of your mind? You aren't my type!"

The same as most of your answers.....rejection. It takes a lot of nerve to ask someone out on a date.If you spend a lot of time building up your confidence and then get shot down it is really hard to hear that answer. It can be a big blow to a guys ego.The old saying "whats the worst she could say...No??"No is not an easy word to hear if you really like someone enough to get the nerve to ask them out.

The same way girls are afraid to ask guys out. We are all afraid of 1 thing and it's rejection. Plus, it's also common for guys to be shyer to ask out.

We don't deal well with rejection (Or at least I personally don't). When we get rejected we might try to act tough, but trust me, deep down inside it HURTS. We don't express it and that's why it eventually hurts even more. It makes us feel like a failure. Some of us would rather hold onto to the fantasy of "maybe she likes me" then to find out she doesn't, and face that reality.

And woot, my 3600th answer...Just had to share that, lol.

Fear of REJECTION! Once bitten, twice shy. It's so unbearable to even think about it, let alone the scars it will leave on your masculine pride. Might be for life. Good thing is, you're growing up. It's a process. Thank God !

Because their scared of rejection/humiliation/embrassment. I don't really understand it myself b/c the way I see it is that it's just part of being a man..... to be assertive and take the risk to persue what you want. But some guys are punks and you wouldn't want a punk to approach you anyway.

Well think about it wouldn't you be afraid to ask a guy out. They have to get up enough courage to adk you. Some take longer than others.

The biggest and most often heard is that girls tend to live in packs. The pack is hostile ground for most guys. So take it for what it is worth. I also suspect some girls like to say no, it gives then a sense of power of the guy. They would like to say yes but the former is in place.

rejection. it is hard for a guy to build up the courage to ask out a girl. girls have it easy all they have to do is say yes or no. girls all ways ask why it takes so long, well why don't they ask a guy out and see how hard it is.
