In UK and you carry a knife unless it can be proved to be for your trade (chef) and appropriately and safely transported, then it is an offensive weapon.
Do not carry knives or any other offensive weapon.

Seems any age can HAVE a knife, but I would think 18 would be legal.. unless posted in a store or something. NO weapons.
