Is it logical to me that I can sit here in my house and talk to you like this? Not really, but since I am I will accept it. I know it works even though I can't explain it. One of the reasons I am a Christian today is because I got to see the results it had in others lives. My own common sense told me that God was real because of the lives the people around me had that were Christians. They were different than other peoples. Over the years as I have read the Bible and Prayed I have heard that small still voice speak to me. When you get saved Gods Holy Spirit comes into your heart and helps guide you thru life and helps keep you on the straight and narrow. I believe in the Supernatural, I can't explain it no more than I can explain how the internet works but I know its real, just like the web, you can't look at the Bible from that perspective. You have to just believe, I mean can you explain how a baby grows in a womb, no, no one can, but the baby grows, can you explain why man has never created anything, in all our technology we can only invent, never create. God is up there, the Bible says every idle word we say is recorded. Even scientists say our brains are like computers recording everything. If you are not a Christian I suggest you get a Bible and read it from cover to cover, because its the truth, and thats commen sense to me. If you a question about the Bible, send me an email. God Bless

Even a heretic each so often speaks fact. It basically took one or 2 debatable fake issues to exclude a writing from the Bible. some completely positive writings have been excluded because of the fact they have been written too late, in a hundred and fifty quite of 89. some pupils say that there are real asserting of Jesus interior the Gospel of Thomas; some are additionally interior the canonical Gospels, yet some are no longer. The gnostic leanings of the writing have been sufficient to exclude it. Christian scriptures accrued right into a e book grew to become into first proposed by utilising a heretic, Marcion. the attitude of defining orthodoxy and the canonization of the Bible have been simultaneous and interdependent. there are various present day inspirational writings, yet they are no longer Biblical. there are various historic writings that rfile Christian ritual and ideology, they are no longer Biblical, the two. As all Christian truths no longer guard totally interior the Bible are supported by utilising teachings of Jesus and the Apostles that are maintained and taught by utilising the Church. No fact is lost by utilising failing to canonize Enoch; plenty fake effect is prevented to boot. do no longer examine it so actually; that, too, isn't Catholic.

Id follow my common sense.

Probably because Islam tells me God wouldnt send a religion that goes against common sense :)

And if it seems as if a book goes against common sense, then its not from God IMO

Note: My book says, when it all boils down to sleeping with someone, it most definitely is a choice.

I would follow the Bible in fact it has a passage covering the why. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

You know what? They're basically one in the same. Think Ten Commandments... they're common sense if you ask me. Everything else is either open to personal interpretation, or is contradictory.
Common Sense, Golden Rule, whatever name they are given it's all just part of being a Good Person!

I believe in God but not in the Bible.God is God and he/she is holy and the Bible is just a book wrote by people, the same people that pulled out of a hat the Mormom`s religion.
Sorry!

The bible explains how children should be killed for talking back to their parents, slavery is ok, and genocide against an entire city (even their livestock) is commendable when done for god.

.... Common sense all the way.

God gave us His holy book so we could know what he expects his children to do. Jesus' teachings are very clear and not difficult to follow at all. So, as a Christian, I would follow Jesus teachings always.

All you need is the Holy Spirit of God - living, breathing, working in you - then His Word will be nothing but common sense, a guidebook to living and salvation itself.

Without the Holy Spirit, His Word will mean nothing to you.

I'm sorry.
