he thought it was a nice way of saying no. it sucks when a girl does that to a guy. one time i asked a girl out and she said can i think about it, and i was so bummed. girls need to learn that it is hard for a guy to build up the courage to ask out a girl, and when they do that would be the last thing you want to hear even worst then a NO.

The person who asked you out may feel that if you need to The person asking may it isn't worth it to them to date someone who isn't as interested in the relationship as they are. Try putting yourself in their shoes: if you asked a person out and they needed to think about it that usually tells you they aren't thrilled about dating you and it may lead to problems in the future. In thier defense it is normal to want to be with someone that likes you as much as you like them. Don't take offense though and realize it was prabably for the best because who wants to be with someone they are not totally sure about. Hope this helps and have fun :)

Because when someone usually say " I'll think about it" then it means... "NO I WANT GO OUT WITH YOU" and then the person who ask will think your thinking of a excuse.
I use that excuse when i'm really trying to think of how i'm going to say "no".. or just avoid them..

Because they probably took that as a nice way to say "no."

Say yes or no! Don't hold the guy in suspense! Geez.

Two reasons, 1, the fact that you said you would think about it seriously messed with their emotions. 2, they have freinds who seriously messed with their pride.

well how did they take it back? "oh nevermind i changed my mind"?

my idea is that they probably considered it a no, and was so afraid of getting rejected that they just decided to kill their chances..

that happened to me once.. the person probably wants to keep their pride, so they don't want to make it seem like they got rejected. bring it up casually and see what they say
