Is it possible for you to know for sure that you will live forever in heaven?
On what basis can you know for sure?

Our basis of believe is the Bible. Either you believe the Bible or you don't.

Ps 37: 10 & 11 & 29 "And just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more, and you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth. And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace....The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."

Jehovah's Witnesses seem to be the only ones who believe this scripture to be true. Everyone else seems to ignore it and they only want to go to heaven.

Who do you think the meek are who possess the earth and live forever upon?

Can we be sure we can have that hope? If we faithfully endure to the end of this system, then we can be sure.
Matt. 10: 22 "he that endures to the end will be saved."

Other scriptures to consider: Ps 72: 16; Is 33:24; Is 35: 5-7; Is 65: 21-25; Is 11: 6-9; Rev. 21: 3 & 4; Rev. 7: 9; Ecc 1:4; Is 45: 18; Ps 104:5; Rev. 11: 18

With regard to the question of technology - I don t think there will be technology as we know it. Nature is Jehovah s technology and it cannot be improved on. Why have a car when you can have clean transportation like a horse. To have technology you need industry. Industry = pollution. Technology in this system is designed to speed things up. In the new world we will have forever to do all the things we want to do. Put on a backpack and travel round the world - so what if it takes you 100 years? You won t be any older. Your loved ones will still be here when you get back. To get a feel of what the new world be like, consider the society s publications and the artist s impression of the new world for the best answer. Look carefully at what is show, but also look carefully at what is missing. Finally - in the new world our minds and bodies will be perfect. We can barely imagine what we will be capable of. We won t need any of the technology used in Satan s world. Remember "I am making all things new".

Ec 1:4 A generation is going, and a generation is coming; but the earth is standing even to time indefinite.

Jesus said the meek shall inherit the earth.

Jehovah God's original purpose was for us to live on this earth forever.
The garden of Eden was a beautiful paradise. If Adam and Eve never would have eaten the fruit they would not have died.
Just because Satan mislead our first parents does not mean that God has to scrap his plans for us and the earth. He sent his Son Jesus to die for us so we can live forever in a beautiful paradise on this earth. We were not created to live in heaven. Earth is our home.

Jehovah God can not lie. So yes we have the chance to live forever in a beautiful paradise. We hope you will learn about Jehovah and his Son Jesus and be there to.
Have a nice day !!!

"Faith" Hebrews 11:1 The assured expectation of things hoped for the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.
Psalms 37:9,10,11 for evil doers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth, And just a little while longer & the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
Rev. 21:1-4 And i saw a new heaven and a new earth........
based on faith & undeserved kindness of God he gives the gift of everlasting life, its not something thats earned its interesting to know the according to Acts 24:15 that not only the witnesses will be the only one in paradise but its a descision up to you now to want to learn & make a change others will be there as well. The Witnesses are the ones that are bringing these truths to our neighbors as Jesus & his Deciples did & are told to do.

That a great crowd will survive Armageddon--
Luke 9:22; John 3:3,5,20:17; Acts 1:3,6-11 2:1-4;
The Hebrew Scriptures had Never lead faithful Jews
to expect a reward of heavenly life.
Those Scriptures pointed to the restoration of
Paradise here on earth.
Dan 7: 13,14 had foretold
that when "rulership & dignity & kingdom"
would be given to the Messiah,
"the ppl's national groups,
and languages would all serve him."
Those subjects of the Kingdom would b here on earth.
By what he said to Jesus,
the evildoer was evidently expressing the hope
that Jesus would remember him
when that time came.
"He said to him [an evildoer who was being
impaled alongside Jesus and who expressed faith in Jesus'
coming kingship]:
'Truly I tell you today,
You will be with me in Paradise.' "--Luke 23:43.

No Body Knows For Sure of His Salvation.

If you mean are we promised it for remaining faithful, yes.
If you mean do we have the keys and title, no.

Since Jehovah and Jesus are the only ones who can grant this gift, they are the ones who have the ultimate word. I might also point out all those planning on going to heaven do not have their tickets punched either. For all peoples shouting and declaring themselves holy, only Jehovah and Jesus remain the only two having the power to give life.

We are promised by One who never breaks promises, that there will be faithful people inhabiting the earth in the abundance of peace. Certainly no human government is going to be able to accomplish this. We must wait on Jehovah to get this done.

When Jehovah God created man He put into him(us) the innate need or want to live forever. How many of us really want to die? I only know of 144,000 that would want to die. Don't we all want to live? If Heaven was what we all strive for, we would not be crying when our loved ones die as we would know they are in Heaven.

If Adam or Eve had not eaten of the tree of good and bad they would still be alive today. Death only came into play because of Satan. God had no reason for us to grow old and die. The only time God mentioned them dying was "if" they ate from that one tree. Remember, they were then put out of the garden so they could not eat of the tree of life. Gen. 3:22 And Jehovah God went on to say: "Here the man has become like one of us(God and Jesus) in knowing good and bad, and now in order that he may not put his hand out and actually take [fruit] also from the tree of life and eat and live to time indefinite, -"

Babies were not born inside the garden but out in harsh conditions. Adam and Eve were supposed to make the entire earth a Paradise. Paradise is on earth as God intended it to be, not in Heaven.

It is a goal to reach out for everlasting life held out to all to make a grasp for it in the short stint of life we have and regardless what ones mind is on the matter only the creator knows the heart .In that goal of reaching out there is expectation of deeds to be performed such as witnessing etc.by command from Jesus and in the performance of these deeds and life style an evaluation on the hearts motivation can be seen only by our creator.Thats why we have HOPE that is held out toward all.

Yes its possible to know for sure - If you endure to the end by staying strong in the faith, then you will gain salvation and inherit the paradise Earth.

PAULO
You obviously got it wrong. Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe they are the 144,000, they believe they part of the 144,000. Those who aren't part of the 144,000 live on a paradise earth. If you read Acts 2:34, it says David did not goto Heaven, so you can expect him to be in that paradise earth, just like many other Biblical characters.

pusherhombre
It clearly says he did not goto Heaven, so where do you expect him to go? I also didn't say he "went" to a paradise earth. It CLEARLY says he did not goto Heaven, and theres no way you can redirect this scripture and take away from what it actually says.

No they do not know that they will be there when the Kingdom of God is established. No one knows or that would come up under boasting and the bible teaches us not to boast because it is related to pride. the JW's are like the rest of us. john 1: 12- states To all who believe in him, he gave the right to become children of God. It doe's not state just JW's or any religion or institution, Pride is right before a downfall so how can they boast that they only will inherit the earth. Salvation is conditional, remember as long as you remain in Christ and it states faith.
